Sadhguru, on learning from your child:
When a child enters your house, it is not the time to become a teacher, it is time to learn, because if you look at yourself and your child, your child is more joyous, isn't it? So it is time you learn life from them, not the other way around.
What you'll need
- A small stretch of time you can hand over
- One thing your child wants to show you or do
- The willingness to follow, not lead
Method
Pick something your child loves and ask them to show you how. Then actually follow their lead.
Do it their way, at their pace, even if it's slower or makes no sense to you.
Hold back the corrections and the "actually, it's like this."
Over a week of holding back, notice what they seem to know that you'd forgotten, and how it feels to be the one learning.
